Waste oil refinery plant not only extracts lube oil from minimal crude oil, but also employs non-cracking evaporation (NCE) in front end treatment along with Reactivation Clay Polishing System (RCPS) or Adsorbent Mineral Polishing System (AMPS) to polish output oils and restore their quality.
The procedure employs 4 liters of crude oil (instead of 160 liters which was earlier used), to procure 2.5 liters of high quality lube oil. This method is significant with features such as low investment and maximum benefits and is thus the best option for re-refining needs.
The waste oil recycling passes through primary, separation and finishing processes which ensure that the oil is dehydrated and avoids cracking in non cracking evaporation (NCE) unit.
The used oil re-refining system has a small footprint with low conversion rates and adds to three times sales value of the oil.
Besides using any type of lube oil, the waste oil recycling unit employs engine oils, used spindle oils, waste turbine oils to extract refined oil.
The moisture is flash evaporated following which hydrocarbon stream is coated as a thin layer and is subjected to vacuum. When the boiling point of oil fractions is lowered, oils are segregated as low, medium and high, based on their viscosity.
The resulting sludge is also commercialized as asphalt and thus adds to the revenue. The oil thus obtained is further processed in Reactivation Clay Polishing System, so that the oil’s properties are enhanced and yields high quality groups I and II base oils.
The waste oil refinery plant improves colour and odour of the oil, besides regulating its sulfur content. It also increases the oxidation resistance of the oil. The clay used in this system can be used 500 times before it is considered unfit. The oil is subjected to numerous processes of distillation before reaching its optimum attributes.
Of the two waste oil recycling treatments namely clay based finishing treatments and catalytic hydro treatments, the latter is not only expensive but also is sensitive and risky since it is done in high temperatures and high pressure levels.
The waste oil refining plant ensures that the oil meets prescribed standards in terms of viscosity index, constituents, sulfur content, colour, odour and oxidation stability. Adsorbent uses its polar attributes to remove unnecessary compounds from the oil, which accentuates shelf life of the oil.
RCPS also switches from parallel to series mode and easily switches between processing modes for each reclaimed stream.
Waste Oil Refinery Plant is advantageous with attributes such as low costs, flexible operating modes, accommodation of all voltages and frequencies, standard industrial waste and customization to plant size.
The above mentioned attributes make RCPS and AMPS waste oil recycling method advantageous in terms of economic and environmental perspectives. The waste oil refinery plant mitigates sulfur to 300 PPM from its original quantity of 2000 PPM in the contaminated oil. The oil thus obtained is stable against oxidation for desired time and is refined satisfactorily.
